LABOUR

ROCHELLE CHARLTON-LAINE DURHAM COUNTY CANDIDATE

Recently Rochelle has been working closely with Labour members to develop digital strategies, in the hope of creating a larger online presence and keep residents informed about the issues that affect them.

Rochelle is a Secondary School Teacher and Subject Lead of SMSC. This includes all aspects of Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural aspects of Students Personal Development. Rochelle creates opportunities for students to develop their mental wellbeing and wellness, as well as develop knowledge of the wider world, politics and health.

In previous years Rochelle has helped to organise the 'Seaham Shuffle' for the The Mary Portas Pilot Project. Rochelle also visualised the Seaham Field of Remembrance Project as part of the strategic layout of the poppies using CGI placement.

More recently Rochelle has led a team of colleagues, friends and students to produce over 5000 pieces of vital PPE for the NHS and our wider community. This could not have been possible without the help from people across Seaham who provided acetate donations.

'As a Councillor, I believe that strategic development must be inclusive and easily accessible for all. This will help provide the best possible outcomes for everyone. I will endeavour to create a stronger community and sense of belonging where grass roots politics and socialism can meet. l want to help others to take action because they want to, not because they don't know how."
